This International Women’s Day, H.E. Razan Al Mu

This International Women’s Day, H.E. Razan Al Mubarak – the first Arab woman world to head the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and now, one of the UN High-Level Climate Champions for COP28 UAE – calls on all of us to drive systemic change and nurture collective and equal leadership.
Stressing on the importance of women in leadership roles, H.E. Razan shares that “it would be easy, on a day like this, to pay lip service to nurturing female leaders. But we do need and want to do more than that. We need equal representation. We need to be sure the policies and solutions that we promote are not only co-created by women but also do not inherently exclude them.”

A very productive evening for the Global Citizen F

A very productive evening for the Global Citizen Forum team at the Palace of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
In attendance with us were Idris Elba, UN Goodwill Ambassador for IFAD, award-winning British actor, director, producer and humanitarian, and Sabrina Elba, actress and activist, whom we are thoroughly excited to welcome at the Annual Summit this year.
We took this opportunity to introduce and discuss the vision for this year’s Annual Summit with His Highness, which will take place this December in Ras Al Khaimah, under the patronage of His Highness and in partnership with with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA).

With the conclusion of the 2023 World Government Summit, we have witnessed heads of state, thought leaders, global experts and decision makers come together from all over the world to lead and participate in key discussions to formulate strategies for a better future.
In the presence of close to a 100 International, Regional and Intergovernmental Organizations, over 80 bilateral agreements have been made and high-level meetings held, and more than 300 sessions have been conducted at this year’s World Government Summit.
Whether its about climate change, educational reforms, or the ever growing frontier of technology, world leaders have now charted a path to address the most pressing challenges we face today.

Let us pave the way for future generations by nurturing their potential, investing in their education, and providing them with the necessary resources to reach their full potential.
