
Samantha Allyson
Samantha Allyson is the Director of the Ahmad ibn Majid Project for Marine Mapping and Sustainable Development in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Originally from the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago, she was raised in New York City before earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Chemistry from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has worked on environmental and educational projects in countries such as the USA, Nicaragua, Thailand, Madagascar, and the United Arab Emirates. Her current project in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE aims to diversify the local economy through the sustainable use of marine resources.
