President Armen Sarkissian becomes patron of GCF 2019.
March 20th, 2019 marked a monumental step in solidifying the partnership between the Government of Armenia and the Global Citizen Forum.
It was with high honour that the GCF Founder and President, Armand Arton was warmly welcomed to the beautiful nation by the President of the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Armen Sarkissian to discuss his patronage to the organization and its upcoming event in Armenia.
During the meeting, Arton presented the tentative program of the Global Citizen Forum, set to be hosted in the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and noted that through its vast network of distinguished guests, the organization will strive to increase Armenia’s prominence and recognition on the global stage.
The team additionally met with the Armenian Economic Development and Investments Minister, Tigran Khachatryan, who discussed the event’s goals, as well as prospects for attracting investments to the country.
As a global citizen with a deeply rooted Armenian background, Arton holds a sentimental value to this year’s Forum. “I am delighted to be hosting such an essential gathering in this beautiful nation and am incredibly proud to advocate my Armenian heritage,” he shared.
With H.E. Sarkissian’s support, the Forum is set to welcome its guests on October 10th, 2019 in Yerevan.
Yerevan is one of the rare cities in the world that allows you to time-lapse into the art, culture and historical beauty of the past one minute, and wander about city streets flooded with modern cafes, art galleries, upscale restaurants and luxury hotels the next. With Yerevan’s evolving elegance and ancient richness, GCF guests will be able to indulge in one of the most unique experiences the region has to offer.
