Launch of GCF Mini Series, our first-ever Digital Experience

Following the suspension all of global gatherings planned for 2020, the GCF has launched a fully digital agenda for the next 6-8 months.

While the world comes to a halt, the Global Citizen Forum has cultivated a new way to connect, engage, and empower its members and community around the globe; through its first-ever digital experience: the GCF Mini Series.

In light of the current Covid-19 outbreak and strict controls on self-isolation and quarantine, GCF’s mission remains as relevant as ever. Despite the boundaries that physically separate us, our community and network remain as connected as ever, leveraged by our pillars to continue to empower the conversation of global citizenship.

GCF’s mission has always been to drive dialogue and action forward by bridging expert opinions and critical thinking with work and support on the ground for those who need it most.

The GCF Mini Series are short pre-recorded videos where past delegates, members of the community, GCF ambassadors, heads of states and supporters share their views around the current circumstances and the way they are affecting a key aspect of their work and mission.

The content is curated across the five adaptive pillars that structure the foundation of GCF’s mission: Governance, Mobility & Migration, Technology, Sustainability and Culture.

In the pilot episode, Talimka Yordanova, CEO of the Global Citizen Forum, discusses the importance of community and unity during these turbulent times. “It is the core principle of GCF to see everything through a global lens. We’ll aim to keep the conversation going during a time where global systems are collapsing, human mobility is paralyzed, migrant communities are stranded and facing tremendous threats.”
